In the tradition of American Movie and the Project Greenlight series, this fly-on-the-wall feature-length documentary gets us on initiate terms with six twenty-somethings, with no money, but big dreams, in Hong Kong to shoot a feature film. These dreams begin to turn into a nightmare as culture clashes, personality differences and mounting chaos that threaten to derail project.
Raw in content and style, Prayers takes an entertaining look behind the scenes of a guerrilla-film shoot thousands of miles from home.

DIRECTOR AND EDITOR
London UK based documentary maker Johanna Taylor is co-founder of Hermit Films and editor and director of Prayers to the Gods of Guerrilla Filmmaking. From the production company's base in London, Johanna logged and audited over 150 hours of footage capturing the three-week film shoot in Hong Kong and crafted the story that was to become Prayers to the Gods of Guerrilla Filmmaking.
CAMERA AND INTERVIEWS
Australian born Sarah Branch is a first-time documentary maker. Sarah lived with the cast and crew 24/7 during the three week film shoot in Hong Kong. This high level of access over an intense time period enabled Sarah to explore the true motivations of each personality and the increasing tension on and off set.
Joining the crew on location each day, Sarah captured, on one video camera, the adrenaline and spirit of guerrilla filmmaking, and the vibrancy of Hong Kong.
